I completed a two week voyage to the Sub-Antarctic Islands to the south of New Zealand a few years back. I needed to take a lot of gear with me…

Superb Fairy-wren - He looks to be practising the crane kick from Karate Kid lol. Another shot of this little stunner which I can see out my back window now jumping around with his harem of ladies. 639 32
Superb Fairy-wren - I am so lucky to have a family of Superb Fairy-wrens that call my property home. I often sit on the back porch and watch them go about their business. It looks like there is plenty to eat at the moment. Unfortunately the male has a sore leg and often stands on one leg. It doesn't appear to be affecting his ability to find food.๐Ÿ‘ 1K 52
Yellow-tufted Honeyeater - One of my favourite birds and a highlight of a morning at @glenrowanwestbirds with good friends @gerard_satherley @heyn.dekock @jan_wegener @mikullashbee a few months back. 422 47
Eastern Grey Kangaroo - I had a small mob of Kangaroos feeding just outside my back door this morning. Managed a few snaps of this young boy feeding on the grass. It really is a great way to start the day watching wildlife go about their business.๐Ÿ‘ 438 35
Speckled Warbler - I was happy to see a few Speckled Warblers recently. I have only photographed them once before so I was stoked when this bird jumped onto this perch. I really like their interesting plumage. -- 521 64
Blue-winged Parrot - Sometimes you get lucky, we were photographing a Rufous Bristlebird when this bird flew in nearby. The Parrot then posed perfectly for 4 very happy photographers. The bird literally posed like a model and couldn't care less about us. A big thank you to the bird.๐Ÿ‘ Taken with @gerard_satherley, @heyn.dekock and @mikullashbee 418 44
Brown-headed Honeyeater - It is always a pleasure photographing this small Honeyeater. This bird is on a native Warby Ranges plant named the Grevillea Alpina. This bird is uncommon on the coast so it is nice to see them around here. Photographed with @gerard_satherley 569 41
Sacred Kingfisher - Stoked to finally get some shots of this beautiful species. Whilst common I have not had too much luck with them. I really like that beautiful colour on their wings. 766 53
